The Story of Worship By Gerrit Gustafson
Probably everyone reading this article is aware of churches and individuals that are going through changes in the way they worship. Obviously, not all of the changes that are taking place are good changes, but, underlying this process, I believe, is the work of the Spirit, challenging our views of what it means to be a true worshiper of God. In many cases, passive, halfhearted worship is being replaced with expressions of active, heartfelt worship.

Podcasting Part II: Turning MP3s Into Podcasts By Terry Wilhite
When we last talked about podcasting, we basically established the fact that there is really no mystery in this audio craze. Simply, a podcast is nothing more than an mp3 audio file that's "parked" on a web server along with a file that describes what it is. That file is called an RSS file and you can sort of think of it as being the digital equivalent of a CD cover. It's a description of contents. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication (file extension .rss) and what it does is spell out in Internet language the "who, what and where" of the audio show contained in your mp3. This RSS file is also like a digital card catalog entry in that it points podcasting subscription software, aptly termed a podcatcher, to the mp3's position on the Net.

Finding a Place Called Home by Steve Amerson
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, 5 for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; Philippians 1:3-6

Could Someone Please Tell Me How To Groove? By Bruce Gust
"Syncopation" by Ted Reed. Page 18. To this day, despite the fact that it's been years since I've even looked at that material, I can still sing you the rhythms belonging to the first four bars. Reason being is that my teacher had me do several coordination exercises based on those rhythms. I'm talking week's worth of variations that had me doing all kinds of things designed to build up my independence and overall facility on the drums.

Let the People Sing By Billy Ray Hearn
Since beginning violin lessons at 5 years old I have loved playing in an orchestra from elementary school through my education at Baylor University. The orchestra is one of the few things in life where everyone involved has to strive for one thing for the good of the group and not self. So, it is not surprising that I have been a big supporter of the Nashville Symphony since moving here in 1991.

Kingdom Come By Dave Jernigan
I am a worship leader. Actually, the more precise term for what I do would be lead worshipper. I have been leading out in worship for well over 26 years now. Having received my college bachelor's degree in Church Music, I was well equipped in all things musically technical, but ill-prepared for the real world of ministry to the body of Christ by the time of my graduation. Due to the very nature of my own testimony (deliverance from same-sex attraction), I had never personally experienced leadership that helped me approach God in worship from my specific needs. In other words, there were no hymns addressing my needs. There was no one who ever even spoke of my needs in a way that seemed redemptive. In fact, as a little boy I overheard men in my church who I respected describe what they thought of someone like me. They didn't know they were talking about me - but I did. The last place I thought I could find help was in the church. After I graduated from college in 1981, I felt so hopeless and had a very real need to know the Lord intimately.

Let There Be By Derric Johnson
God said it first... calling creation out of nothing... "LET THERE BE..." He verbalized it twice... "Let there be light..." and again, "Let there be a firmament." So it would appear that using that phrase puts us in very good company. I'm involved with a group of 20 men in Orlando called DREAM BUILDERS, founded by Kennan Burch who serves as the National Marketing Director for Red Lobster Restaurants. Twenty men of diverse vocations (doctors, lawyers, web designers, consultants, corporate offiers and presidents) but all believers. The cadre, now three years old, meets monthly at six o' clock breakfast to talk, share, monitor and encourage the thrill of watching dreams come true.

Show Me the Love Part 1 By Phil Maynard
In one of the opening scenes of the movie Jerry Maguire, Jerry (played by Tom Cruise) is fired from his job as an agent with a large firm and is trying to take some of his clients with him as he starts his own business. He is on the phone with a football player by the name of Rod Tidwell trying to convince him to stay with him. He promises all kinds of support: his personal attention, his support, his love, his commitment to Rod's future. At the end of the scene Rod lays his one demand on the line saying "show me the money". Over and over again he gets Jerry to shout "show me the money" making sure that he doesn't miss the point.

Happy New... What? By Tom Michaels Zahradnik
Happy New Year! Happy New magazine! Happy New column! Happy New....! Have you ever been presented with something new? For me, it is writing this column. Yup, brand new. Never done it before. I can understand if you want to stop reading right now. I figured I would try to do my best to impress and dazzle you with stunning illustrations and words of profound impact. But having said that, I must tell you I have decided on a different approach, honesty. Your first question is mine as well, who is this guy to be writing a column anyway? I mean, just the last name alone, Zahradnik, is hard to spell, as well as remember.
